Bonjourno!

We made it!!! Emily Schechter, Heather, and I arrived safely in Rome today, as we are exploring Italy for a week before Heather and I head to Prague for the term. After not sleeping that much on the plane, we still managed to have a productive day and resist the temptation to nap. We had a little trouble finding our way around the streets at first, but we walked to our nice little hotel where we have great internet connection, a bathroom, and a nice porch/deck. It was a beautiful sunny day.

We set out to buy our train tickets for the trip and AS Roma tickets for Saturday night. After getting those, we walked to the Trevi Fountain and had a nice lunch. We threw some coins behind our back into the fountain- one ensures a return back to Rome someday, and two means you will fall in love. Heather threw two. After loading up on gelato and cheap vino, we headed to the Spanish steps to enjoy the end of the afternoon sun. We wandered around the city for the rest of the day getting ourselves acquainted and then grabbed a quick dinner. So much pizza and spaghetti today. And so much walking! We might have to break out the running sneaks tomorrow.

Its barely 9 p.m. here and we are all ready for bed. Should be great weather for the next couple of days in Rome! Laura comes tomorrow and we are planning to check out the Coliseum and ruins before hitting up the Roman night life, should be an experience. We miss everyone already, but are excited to finally be here! Ciao bellas.

Here is a new Italian phrase in case you are interested:
Want to check blitz in my room?
desidera controllare blitz nella mia stanza?
